Good to Know Before You Visit Jardin Majorelle
Jardin Majorelle sits a short taxi ride from the medina and the Jemaa el-Fnaa area, so it pairs well with time in the old town. From the city center you can walk or grab a taxi straight to the entrance. The garden is compact rather than sprawling, so most people spend about an hour and a half to two hours walking the paths and seeing the Berber Museum without feeling rushed.
The garden opens in the morning and closes in the late afternoon, with exact hours shifting by season, so check the current times before you go. It stays open daily, including holidays, and it gets busiest in the middle of the day, which is exactly why a skip-the-line ticket pays off in high season. This is an outdoor space, so wear comfortable shoes and dress for the weather, with a hat, sunscreen, and water in the hot months. Photography is welcome, though flash may be limited to protect the exhibits. One thing worth knowing: the Yves Saint Laurent museum next door is a separate building with its own entry, so confirm what your ticket covers before arriving.
