About Tottenham Hotspur Stadium
Tottenham Hotspur Stadium opened in 2019 on the site of White Hart Lane, the club's old ground in north London. It's the home of Tottenham Hotspur Football Club, but it was built to do a lot more than host Premier League matches. The pitch is a hybrid grass surface that slides out in three sections to reveal a separate artificial turf field underneath, which lets the venue stage NFL games, concerts, boxing, and rugby without tearing up the football surface. It's the kind of engineering detail that sounds like overkill until you see it in person.
The stadium is known for a few standout features. The single-tier South Stand, often called the home end, packs in around 17,000 fans and is one of the largest of its type in the UK, designed to create a wall of noise behind the goal. There's a microbrewery on site, the longest bar in Europe by some measures, and a glass walkway and sky bridge for visitors who want height and views across London. The club also runs a separate attraction, a ropes course and a clear-floored vantage point high up on the roof, which is ticketed on its own and worth checking if you don't mind heights.
On a non-match day the usual way in is a stadium tour, which typically takes you through the tunnel, the dressing rooms, pitchside, and the press areas, with a self-guided audio option as well as guided versions. Tour access depends heavily on the fixture and event schedule, so dates can close at short notice around matches and concerts. The stadium sits on Tottenham High Road in N17, reachable by Overground to White Hart Lane or Northumberland Park, and by several bus routes. Match tickets and tour tickets are separate things, so be clear on which one you're booking.
