Planning Your Visit to Edge NYC
Edge sits on the 100th floor of 30 Hudson Yards on Manhattan's west side, roughly 1,100 feet up. The open-air sky deck angles out from the side of the tower, so you stand well past the building's edge with the city below and around you. The glass floor lets you look straight down to the street, the angled glass walls lean outward so you can press right up against them, and a small champagne bar is on hand if you want a drink with the view. Indoor viewing areas with floor-to-ceiling windows and climate control are a good fallback in colder months or when the terrace is busy. The deck is high enough that wind matters, so bring a jacket even in mild weather.
Looking east you get Midtown landmarks like the Empire State Building; Central Park spreads to the north and the Hudson River fills the view to the west, with Lower Manhattan, Brooklyn, and parts of New Jersey visible on clear days. Edge is open daily from 09:00 to 21:00, with last entry at 20:00, though hours can shift around holidays or special events. Most people spend one to two hours here. Getting in is easy: take the 7 subway line to the 34th Street-Hudson Yards station, right by the entrance, and the building sits in the same complex as the Vessel and the Shops at Hudson Yards. Buses, taxis, and ride-shares all serve the area as well.
