Getting There, Opening Hours and What to Expect
The Jardin d'Acclimatation sits inside the Bois de Boulogne in the 16th arrondissement, on the western edge of Paris. The simplest way in is Metro Line 1 to Les Sablons, a short walk from the park's entrance near Porte des Sablons. Buses 244, 163 and 164 also serve the Bois de Boulogne, and the Petit Train runs from Porte Maillot straight into the grounds. On arrival, collect your 8 attraction tickets from the automatic terminals at the entrance. Each ride takes 1 to 3 tickets.
The park is generally open daily year-round, roughly 10:00 to 18:00 on weekdays and 10:00 to 19:00 on weekends, public holidays and French school vacations, though hours shift by season, so check the official schedule before you go. Attractions are spread across the grounds, so there's a fair amount of walking between them. Wear comfortable shoes, and in summer bring a hat and sunscreen since much of the park is open. There's no dress code. Weekends and school holidays get busy, so arriving earlier in the day tends to mean shorter lines for the popular rides. Food stalls, cafes, picnic areas and restrooms are easy to find throughout the grounds.
