Istanbul Sahaba Tombs Private Half-Day Tour, 3 Hours
About this tour
Spend about three hours visiting the Istanbul resting places tied to the Sahaba, the companions of the Prophet Muhammad. A private car and English-speaking guide pick you up at your hotel and take you to the tomb and mosque of Abu Ayyub al-Ansari along with more than a dozen other companion tombs, with a cable car ride worked into the day. You'll have quiet time at each site to pray or simply take it in, then a drop-off back at your hotel.

How the Sahaba Tombs Half-Day Tour Works
Your guide meets you at your hotel reception in Istanbul, and everything runs privately with your own car and driver. Over roughly three hours you'll visit the tomb and mosque of Abu Ayyub al-Ansari, one of the Prophet Muhammad's companions, then continue to a series of other Sahaba tombs across the same historic district. A cable car ride is part of the day. At each stop you get unhurried time to pray or reflect before heading back to your hotel.
Note that the tour runs every day except Monday, when most of the tombs are closed. Since these are active places of worship, plan to dress modestly. Lunch isn't part of the tour, so you're free to eat afterward wherever you like.
